Art Classes - Colour experience for children aged 8 to 12 years olds will run for 8 weeks from 13 February.
These classes are designed to take young artists through colour experiences using a range of materials. Fostering children's confidence and creativity in art.
Classes are delivered by two highly qualified tutors Dianna Brinsden and Susie Gay.
Dianna Brinsden is an artist and interior designer who is inspired by colour experiences. As an interdisciplinary artist she has worked in a range of different forms – including sculpture, painting, performance art, video art and socially engaged art. She has a Bachelor of Design, MFA from Elam School of Fine Arts, and a Cert. in Adult Education. She worked as an artist in Europe and studying colour and abstract painting in Switzerland. Dianna loves to foster children’s love of art and help them feel the joy of creativity and the imagination.
Susie Gay is an art teacher and art therapist and counsellor who has a passion for art processes ranging from watercolour through to drawing and clay modelling. She has worked for 30 years with children and adults to help support them to find deepen creative inspiration and at times to reconnect with themselves. As a trained teacher she has taught art in different school settings around the world. Including mentoring teacher’s in different artistic practices. She has Post-Grad. Dip of Teaching (Auckland) Primary and Post-Grad Cert. Secondary. Trained in the Painting School of the Goetheanum, (Dip.) in Dornach, Switzerland and in Art Therapy (Dip.) Unterlengenhardt, Germany and in Jarna, Sweden. Susie has a Post-Grad. Dip Education (Counselling) NZAC.
Classes will run from Monday 13 February to Monday 3 April 2023, from 3.30pm - 5.30pm.
The classes will cost $280 (some materials are required).
